Review by hotel critic
Having recently stayed at Harriet House, I found it to be an intriguing blend of comfort and value. First, the communication before our arrival was excellent, with Heidi ensuring we were well-informed. On arrival, Paul assisted with our parking, which is a significant advantage, especially with secure parking at the rear. The room was immaculate and came equipped with an electric kettle for tea and coffee, and complimentary refreshments-perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the scenic landscapes nearby. Though the bed felt a bit firm for my husband's liking, it was certainly a personal preference rather than a flaw. The breakfast deserves a mention-it was substantial and freshly cooked, with some ingredients being homemade. It made for a delightful start to the day. The location was yet another bonus, lying just a 10-15 minute walk to the town centre. For those seeking a cozy yet economical base to explore the area, Harriet House is a solid choice worth considering.
